Zac Efron’s New Bae
For the longest time we all expected ‘high school sweethearts,’ Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, from the High School Musical to be together for the long run. Unfortunately, our dreams of them making perfect little singing babies were crushed . Recently, Efron’s new girlfriend, Sami Miro, spoke out about their relationship for the first time.
The two love bugs met through a mutual friend while Efron was filming ‘We Are Your Friends.’ The couple has been dating since September according to an interview with Elle.com.
This gorgeous model has the whole package; she’s smart and beautiful. Miro graduated with a master’s degree from the University of San Francisco. Post-graduation, Miro decided to ditch the San Francisco life and head to Los Angeles to pursue her goals in the fashion world.
One thing that Miro realizes is that Efron will forever have obsessing fans. She told Elle.com, “I’ve never spoken about us before, but, um, it’s definitely different. I think that you have to take that [kind of attention] with a grain of salt, and put yourself in the other people’s positions. It kind of just comes with the territory, and I know there’s no really changing that, so you have to just embrace it…I’m not trying to hide anything in my life.”
If you were to follow Miro on Instagram or other social media networks, you would notice she doesn’t post too many pictures of the two of them together. She did tell Elle Magazine that if she was dating someone who isn’t in the limelight that she would probably post more about their relationship on social media. The first time either of them posted about each other on Instagram was 23 weeks ago. They both posted a picture of them together outside of Noma Restaurant in Copenhagen.
Throughout the five months that the two have been dating, Efron has yet to speak out about their relationship. They were first spotted out in public together in mid-September for a double date in Santa Monica. From then on they were spotted at a Dodgers game and holding hands around Halloween time.
While Efron stays quiet, an entertainment source who is apparently close with Efron has spoken out. The source says, “Zac likes to have a girlfriend, someone to do things with,” and that, “Zac likes outspoken, independent women who challenge him.”
Miro also told Elle.com about their shopping adventures together. She told Elle, “I think with Zac- we shop together all the time, and I just naturally like to pick out clothes- our styles have mixed together.”
Other than a few Instagram posts here and there, and the brief quotes from Miro and the entertainment source, the relationship has remained very low-key.
