Best original score for a motion picture: Jóhann Jóhannsson for The Theory of Everything
Best original song in a motion picture: “Glory” from Selma
Best supporting actor in a T.V. series, mini-series, or T.V. movie: Matt Bomer for The Normal Heart
Side note: This was Bomer’s first win after only his first nomination
Best actress in a motion picture, comedy or musical: Amy Adams for Big Eyes
Best animated feature film: How to Train Your Dragon 2
Best supporting actress in a motion picture: Patricia Arquette for Boyhood
Side note: Boyhood features Arquette playing a struggling single mother while in real life Arquette really was a single mom
Best screenplay in a motion picture: Birdman
Best actor in a T.V. series for comedy or musical: Jeffrey Tambor from Transparent
Side note: This win came from Tambor’s very first nomination
Super side note: Tambor dedicated the award to the trans-gender community
Best Foreign Language Film: Leviathan, a Russian film
Best actress in a mini-series or T.V. movie: Maggie Gyllenhaal for The Honorable Woman
Side note: This was Gyllenhaal’s first win after three nominations
Best T.V. Series, Drama: The Affair
Best actor in a T.V. series, Drama: Kevin Spacey for House of Cards
Side note: This was Spacey’s first win after eight nominations
Super side note: After winning the award Spacey said, “[I] can’t f*ing believe I won one.”
The DeMille Award was won by George Clooney who, by the way, has been nominated for a Golden Globe more times than anyone else.

Best actress in a T.V. series, Drama: Ruth Wilson for The Affair
Best actor in a motion picture, comedy or musical: Michael Keaton for Birdman
Side note: Did you know he’s the seventh child in his family?
Best motion picture, comedy or musical: The Grand Budapest Hotel
Best actress in a motion picture, drama: Julianne Moore for Still Alice
Best actor in a motion picture, drama: Eddie Redmayne for The Theory of Everything
Side note: Redmayne cut his honeymoon short to attend the award show
