What Happened to Our “Hannah Montana” Star?
Miley Cyrus shocked the world with her performance of “We Can’t Stop” on the 2013 VMA’s. The 20 year old rebellious star has created an image for herself that has many people looking away. The question that is running through many minds is: Since Cyrus’ departure from Disney, what was been going on with her?
Cyrus’ birth name, Destiny Hope, is exactly how the public is reacting. Due to the mixed reviews, one could believe that this is what she should go back to; she needs a new destiny, and needs to hope it works for her. Ever since she left Hannah Montana after four seasons in 2011, Cyrus has completely gone wild.
In Nov. 2011, according to TMZ, Cyrus talked her way out of a bong scandal saying she smoked salvia despite belief that she’s a major pothead. She proved to the public that she was a major pothead by announcing at her birthday party, “You know you’re a stoner when friends make you a Bob Marley cake. You know you smoke way too much f**in’ weed.”
After seeing their connection in the movie “The Last Song,” many weren’t shocked to see her engagement to Liam Hemsworth in June 2012. Shortly after Aug. 2012, Cyrus showed off her new pixie haircut and began showing her edgy side to the world. 
For anyone who grew up watching Disney Channel, we think of Cyrus as the Miley Stewart that sang “Best of Both Worlds” and “Nobody’s Perfect,” not a girl who displayed her sexuality on an award show.
When people opened their social media apps on their iPhones following the VMA’s, they saw Cyrus’ butt cheeks linked together with a picture of a chicken’s legs, her obscene images with Rob Thicke, and speaking of Rob Thicke, the insane article of how everyone is tweeting “why did Miley Cyrus dare dance on Rob Thicke, he’s a married man” #stopslutshaming, he was the one who allowed it to happen.
All in all, Cyrus has obviously created a lot of publicity for herself over the performance. She knew doing this performance was going to get her attention.
And she sure know’s how to break her Daddy’s Achy, Breaky, Heart.
