Bloomsburg University students are encouraged to consider over the summer, a new business they would like to create … and then register by Sept. 23 for the first Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) Student Business Plan Competition. Sponsored by the PASSHE Office of the Chancellor, the business development effort will run through May 31, 2012, and is funded through a Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Keystone Innovation Grant. Cash and in-kind prizes will be awarded with funding to assist in new business creation. The competition is open to full- and part-time students at the 14 PASSHE institutions. For more information contact Tom Fletcher, director of Corporate and Continuing Education, or go to www.passhebiz.org.
