The world watched in anguish as Paris went through a massive terrorist attack on Nov. 13.  Six different spots in Paris were attacked by the terrorist group known as ISIS.  One hundred twenty nine people were killed by both gunmen and suicide bombers.  According to CNN, two bombs went off outside the football stadium in the middle of the France versus Germany game. While these bombs were going off, two gun men entered the Bataclan theater and began shooting from a balcony.  The attack led France to close its borders. For several hours, a terror group did not claim responsibility for the attack, but it was believed to have been ISIS from the beginning. download

In the days following the attack, France’s President Francois Hollande declared that, “France is at war,” according to CNN.  Not long after this announcement ISIS threatened that the United States could be next.  In the video they released ISIS stated, “I swear to God, as we struck France in its stronghold, Paris, we will strike America in its stronghold, Washington.”

Most of these threats have made several countries up their security. For Britain, they have increased security for the soccer match between England and France. Washington has stepped up with transit police patrols.  This is also following the bombs France dropped over a well-known ISIS training camp.

More recently, CNN reported that, “Serious plans for explosions” forced the evacuation of a stadium in Hannover, Germany on Tuesday night.  The evacuation happened before the Netherlands versus Germany friendly soccer match.  Chief Volker Kluwe told NDR that the authorities had concrete intelligence that someone wanted to set off an explosive in the stadium.  These tips caused officials to cancel the soccer match about 90 minutes before kickoff.  No explosives were found at the stadium.
