Lights, Camera, Victory!

Lights, Camera, Victory
The senior public relations class, PR: Cases and Problems, has partnered with Love in Bloom, a Bloomsburg University student-faculty produced film, to raise money for Camp Victory to help their campers. Our class is hosting a premiere event showcasing the final installment of this trilogy: Love in Bloom, One Last Time, a group of short stories about love on our college campus. This movie series has been directed by Michael DiGiorgio and written and acted by BU students.
All proceeds from the movie premiere will benefit Camp Victory, which is a camp that hosts children with physical and mental disabilities, chronic health problems, and grief. Each week is dedicated to a different group of special children and aims to give them the best week of their lives away from the trials of the world.
Our class is trying to raise $1,500 for Camp Victory to give them supplies for s’mores this summer and a new laptop. Want to help us brighten these kid’s lives? There are many ways you can help.
- At the dance ensemble recital, on Thursday, April 10 and Friday, April 11 at 7 p.m., our class will be selling flowers for donations that will benefit Camp Victory. Make a donation for a great cause and get a flower for a special someone or a friend.
- We also have a Dine to Donate night at Wendy’s on Monday, April 7 from 5-8 p.m.. 10 percent of all sales will be donated to our cause.
- Finally, our major special event is the movie premiere, which will take place on April 26 at 7 p.m. at the Digiplex Cinema Center. For information on how to get tickets and more ways to help, follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram!
