GameStop announces the WiiU wait list

If you were one of those people who didn’t get a chance to pre-order a WiiU, here’s your chance.

Didn’t get your chance to pre-order the WiiU for the holiday season? Don’t panic, there may have a solution.

The WiiU is the new and improved version of the original Wii system. It’s graphics and memory size will be comparable with the Xbox360 and PS3. Soon after the release date for the WiiU was announced, reserves became available for the systems at GameStop stores all over the United States. The amount of customers that rushed GameStop doors was so vast, that Nintendo reached their pre-order goal, and the option to pre-order the system was removed three days later.

GameStop has created a wait list for the WiiU. The waitlist is a list of customers who still want the WiiU for this holiday season. GameStop will send Nintendo their wait list to show them how many people still want a WiiU in hopes that they will send more. If they do send more, customers on the wait list will receive a call to come in and get a WiiiU.
After the call is made, customers have 48 hours to pick up their system, or GameStop will move on to the
next person on the list. This will continue until the extra amount of WiiU systems received is sold. Customers have a choice of the 32gb black WiiU for $350 or the 8gb White WiiU for $300.So what does this mean? It’s not guaranteed, but get yourself on that wait list. Chances are that you won’t be able to get one this holiday season without it. Stop into your local Gamestop where you would like to pick up your WiiU and ask to be put on the wait list for free.
