Find the Best Sunglasses for Your Face Shape
Looking for the best shades for your face shapes? Well, with these tips you will be looking stylish in no time!

Now that the spring season is officially here, we can finally look forward to the summer. The number one summer fashion must have is of course, sunglasses. They are the perfect accessory whether you are going to the beach with some friends or taking a stroll down the boardwalk. Not all sunglasses are created equal when it comes to finding the perfect pair for your face. Here are some tips that will help give you an idea of what’s hot and not for your facial structure.
Heart Shaped
Heart shape faces typically have a forehead and jawline that are a similar width in appearance. The face will also be longer but there is still some width to it, usually at the cheekbones. The chin will be noticeably pointed and will have a rounded hairline.
Try:
Square Frames (Prada)
Avoid:
Styles that are wider at the top; these will reflect rather than shape the face
Round
Your face is the same length and width, creating a circle- like shape. The forehead and jawline are rounded plus the hair line will be rounded (sensing a pattern?). The widest part of the face is the cheekbones.
Try:
Classic and Cool (Ray Bans)
Avoid:
Small and round shapes and very large frames as they will make your face looking rounder.
Oval
Oval shaped faces are the ideal face shape simply because its proportions and balance allow it to pull off practically anything. Some characteristics are that the face is slightly longer than wide. The jaw and forehead are equal width and the chin will be rounded without hard lines as well as the jawbone. The forehead is slightly broader than the jaw and the face is widest at the cheekbones.
Try:
Rectangular (Dolce and Gabbana)
Avoid:
Large frames because they tend to cover the small features of the face.
Long (Oblong)
Long shaped faces are obviously longer than wide, with a forehead and jawline that are similar in width. The chin is pointed as well as a cheek line that is straight. The face is widest at the forehead.
Try:
Jackie O Shades (Nina Ricci)
Avoid:
Small, narrow, and square shapes.
Square
For square faces the length and width are closely equal, this is especially prominent in regards to the forehead and jawline. The chin is noticeably square and/or flat, plus the hairline will be straight. The widest part of the face is the cheekbones.
Try:
Oval frames (Gucci)
Avoid:
– Thin, angular and square styles, and those with color emphasis on the bottom rim.
