Christmastime brings many fun activities, but the thing some may enjoy the most is watching cheesy romantic Christmas movies. It’s time to make some hot chocolate, pop some popcorn, and settle in for some corny – yet enjoyable – holiday tales.

Holiday in Handcuffs

ABC Family’s “Holiday in Handcuffs” features a stressed-out woman, Trudie, who was planning on bringing her boyfriend home for the holidays. When she gets dumped shortly before her planned visit home, she breaks and kidnaps the handsome and lovable David and forces him to pretend to be her (now-ex) boyfriend.

This movie has the same characteristics as some others (man pretending to be a woman’s boyfriend because she was dumped and cannot face her family), but presents it in a fun and unusual way.

This movie is available on Hulu.

Christmas Inheritance

This is the classic story of a city girl being taught the true meaning of Christmas by a small-town boy.

In order to inherit her father’s business, Ellen must first complete a very special and strange task: deliver a Christmas card to her father’s former business partner. This partner lives in the tiny town of Snow Falls, and Ellen is forced to stay in the town inn when the business partner is unable to be located.

This movie is available on Netflix.

A Christmas Kiss

While incognito, Wendy shares a passionate kiss with a mysterious handsome man on an elevator, only later to discover the man is her evil boss’ boyfriend. Will Adam realize who his true love is before it’s too late?

This movie is available on iTunes.

Holiday Engagement

Hillary’s demanding mother is expecting to meet her daughter’s lawyer fiancé Jason over the holidays, but Jason decides to unexpectedly break up with Hillary. Hillary turns to the internet, asking for a man to bring home to act as her ex.

This movie is available on Netflix.

A Christmas Prince

A journalist is sent to Aldovia to dig up dirt on the playboy prince. This is the big break that Amber needs, and she is able to sneak into the castle under the guise of being the princess’ nanny. However, not everything is as it seems with the prince, and Amber must struggle with what she believes is right and what she knows will advance her career.

This movie is available on Netflix.

Last Christmas

Looking for a cheesy movie that will leave you in tears? Well, look no further. “Last Christmas” is new this year and follows the main character, Kate, who is quite a mess. When she meets the strange man Tom, her life is turned upside down.

This movie has a twist that most won’t see coming and has a deeper meaning than most other movies on this list.

The Princess Switch

The “Parent Trap” theme that we love with a little bit of Christmas thrown in—what’s not to love?

Stacy is invited to Belgravia for a baking contest with her long-time friend Kevin and his daughter. There, she meets Lady Margaret, who is the fiancée of the prince, and the two immediately realize how similar they look. Of course, they decide to switch places.

This movie is available on Netflix.

12 Dates of Christmas

In the top spot, “12 Dates of Christmas.”

Almost every cheesy Christmas movie has a bit of magic, but the “12 Dates of Christmas” enters a world with rules of its own. When Kate is set up on a blind date, she is not particularly thrilled. She is even less thrilled when she starts reliving the same day over, and over, and over.

This movie is available on Disney Plus.
