Throwback Thursday: Pop Punk Edition

The writers of BUnow have decided to begin a new kind of Throwback Thursday. These will be periodical articles where we share some of our favorite “throwback tunes” that we think should be brought back to life.
Pop Punk is a genre of music that basically lived and died in the late ‘90s and 00’s, and it is also my absolute favorite type of music to listen to while exercising or working around the house.
The following is a list of a few of my favorite pop punk hits, and links to where you can listen to them for yourself!
- “Absolutely (Story of a Girl)” – Nine Days (2000)
- “Mr. Brightside” – The Killers (2004)
- “1985” – Bowling for Soup (2004)
- “The Anthem” – Good Charlotte (2002)
- “Stacy’s Mom” – Fountains of Wayne (2003)
- “The Middle” – Jimmy Eat World (2001)
- “High School Never Ends” – Bowling for Soup (2006)
- “Check Yes Juliet” – We The Kings (2007)
- “My Own Worst Enemy” – Lit (1999)
