The Texas Rangers Going to The World Series….Again.

The Texas Rangers are headed back to the World Series for the second straight year after beating the Detroit Tigers in the American League Championship Series (Series 4-2). Nelson Cruz had a post-season record six homeruns and 13 runs batted in the series to complete Saturday night’s onslaught of the Detroit. Hold on let’s say that one more time, six homeruns and 13 runs batted in six games, insane right?
Michael Young, who had five runs batted in during the series, caught the Brandon Inge pop-up that wrapped up the American League Pennant for the Rangers. Texas started the celebration by throwing one finger in the air, signaling that they were number one. There were no champagne showers in this locker room, out of respect for last years AL MVP and all-star outfielder Josh Hamilton who has had past problems with alcohol abuse. Instead Texas celebrated with ginger-ale showers.
At the end of the day, fans in Texas should be pretty satisfied. The Dallas Mavericks just won the NBA championship, and the Texas Rangers are going to the World Series for a second straight year.
