Are you looking for a different approach to your newest workout? How about a healthy, fun game of volleyball? To top it all off, it’s for a great cause! What can be better than that?
As you may know, Dr. Ganahl’s PR: Cases & Problems class has chosen the Local Women’s Center (WC) of Bloomsburg as their client for this semester. Their objective is to create a unique development campaign to raise money and awareness for their client. The WC is in need of new mattresses and bed frames. With your help, we will purchase 44 new mattresses and bed frames, to ensure complete comfort for the women and children residing there.
On Saturday, Nov. 16, Dr. Ganahl and his students of the PR: Cases & Problems class will be holding their biggest special event for their campaign, “The Safe and Sound Slumber Fund Volleyball Tournament!” With already over 15 teams signed up, it is going to be a fun filled day for everyone involved. The teams will consist of six people, with a charge of $20 per team. There is still time to sign up, even the day of! All proceeds go straight to the WC.
With live streaming music from WHLM, it is a promised good time! Everyone is guaranteed to leave with a prize! The winning team will receive over $120 in prizes, including gift cards to Pizza Hut, Balzanos Italian Restaurant, Stephs Sub, Olive Garden, Weis, Movie Passes, and Subway. The winning team will also leave with free t-shirts! Wow!
So what are you waiting for? If you have not already signed up for “The Safe and Sound Slumber Fund Volleyball Tournament,” you should now! Time is running out, but you can sign up at the door if you wish to participate. All sign-up sheets are in the Mass Communications office, located in McCormick. The tournament will be held at the Rec Center (at the top of campus, behind the library) and will begin at 11am, Saturday, November 16th, ending at 4pm.
