Outside of Shy Bear Brewing.

In April, I went to Shy Bear Brewing in Lewistown, PA. The way to the brewery is a nice scenic view of the central Pennsylvania countryside. According to Google Maps, the brewery is located over an hour from Bloomsburg University and 43 minutes from State College.

When walking into the brewery, the place is small but relaxing at the same time. There is a porch area for dining, as well as an inside dining and bar area. The backyard has a small stage, an outdoor area for hanging out with friends and family, and an outside bar.

The bar inside of the brewery.

The beer was pretty good, but the food was really good. The menu is gluten and vegan friendly, and mostly your typical pub fare. I highly recommend ordering the Shy Bear sauce with any menu items. The brewery does have some non-alcoholic options, such as their famous homemade root beer, which I recommend trying.

I give this place my highest recommendation. This brewery is a must-see, especially during the summer and when there are live performances. So, if you’re looking for a good hangout with a group of friends, check out Shy Bear Brewing in Lewistown, PA. When going to any brewery always make sure to drink responsibly and have a designated driver handy.
