Do you know what you want out of life after college? That is the theme of this Friday’s Celebrity Artist Series performance of The Graduate by LA Theatre Works.
The play speaks to our generation as we witness Benjamin Braddock, who ponders his future after graduation as he has an affair with the wife of his father’s business partner. The story was first told as a novel written by Charles Webb in 1963. The Graduate was then released four years later as a movie with Dustin Hoffman playing Benjamin in his breakout role. Garnering numerous Academy Award nominations, it remains one of the top grossing films in history. This stage production of The Graduate coincides with the 50th anniversary of Webb’s original publication.
The Graduate will take the stage on Friday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. in Mitrani Hall of Haas Center for the Arts. Tickets are currently on sale for $35 for adults and $17 for children and BU students (with a student ID). To purchase your ticket, visit the Performing Arts Box Office in the main lobby of Haas Center for the Arts or call them at (570) 389-4409.
