The new academic year has just begun. August 22 marks the official start of classes as our Husky family makes their way across the quad. Welcome back home, Huskies, and welcome to any new Huskies joining the pack. What’s coming up this fall 2022 semester?

This last Sunday was the On-Campus Activities Fair that showcased the wonderful activities and communities that students can join (just like BUnow). There are many opportunities within these student organizations that can open up a whole new door. Check them out on HuskySync and give them a shot!

Unsure of your classes or need a change of schedule? The last day to add or drop a class on MyHusky is Monday, August 29, 2022.

Andruss Library located on Bloomsburg University’s quad.

Some exciting news to share is that the Starbucks at the Andruss Library will now be open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The campus has not seen this establishment open since before the COVID-19 pandemic. Get your favorite pumpkin spice beverages this season!

The “Danny Hale” field located at Redman Stadium on Bloomsburg’s upper campus.

Sports seasons are starting and games will begin to hit the fields on upper campus. Check out the BU athletics website for the fall sports schedule. The opportunity to follow the Bloomsburg Huskies throughout their seasons is here with live streaming and tickets to the games.

Bloomsburg Fair Grounds located on 980 W Main St.

Near the end of September is the Bloomsburg Fair, held from Friday, September 23rd through Saturday, October 1st. From a little event in 1855 to a full-fledged, nine-day extravaganza, the Bloomsburg Fair has evolved. Over 350,000 people attend this cherished event each year. The fair will be filled with entertainment from names like Joan Jett and Toby Mac, to a full-size truck demo derby. Purchase your tickers online and use your student discount.

More updates on Homecoming, events, and more are to come! Onward and Upward, Huskies! Have a great “syllabus week”!
