Tattoos for Life

Stormi Steel Tattoos and Body Piercing will be having its third annual “Tattoos for Life” fundraiser in its Scranton location on Sunday, Oct. 2 and its Bloomsburg location on Sunday, Oct. 9. They will be doing two-inch cancer ribbon tattoos for $20 each. The proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
The following is from their event page on Facebook:
Oct 18, 2009, Stormi Steel Tattoos and Body Piercing launched its First Annual Tattoos For Life fundraiser to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. In the process of doing this event two years in a row, we have encounterd many people whose lives have not just been touched by Breast Cancer, but by many different Cancers. Statistical figures done by the American Cancer Society show that an estamated 1.5 million people were diagnosed with some form of Cancer in 2010, five hundred thousand in Pennsylvania alone. Cancer is the second leading cause of death. Seeing these figures and hearing from our many clients whose lives have been affected by Cancer, we realized that we are missing out on helping so many more people. That is why we decided to change things up a bit this year. We are still doing ribbons for $20 each, but not just Breast Cancer. We will be doing all cancer ribbons. The proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society in support of all forms of Cancer.
ALL donations will be appreciated even if you are not getting a tattoo. In the past, we have gotten a great response to this event and we will be working on a first come, first served basis. NO APPOINTMENTS will be taken for that day. While the minimum donation is $20 per ribbon, larger donations will be appreciated. We are trying to raise as much money as possible for this great organization. You do NOT have to get a tattoo or pierced to come down and make a donation.
This event will be help on October 2 at Stormi Steel Tattoos in Scranton, and October 9 at their Bloomsburg location. 50% of each tattoo will be donated to the American Cancer Society. The ribbon tattoos will be two inches, but if you would like it: bigger, words or anything else added or more than one ribbon, you will need to schedule an appointment for a later date. The price will be modified, but the proceeds will still be donated.* You must be 18 to get tattooed so please bring proper identification. If you are 16 you may get tattood with parental consent (call for more information). Young children should not attend this event, please plan accordingly.
