Students Mobilize to Switch BU Off of Coal to 100% Clean Energy

The BU Beyond Coal student group will be holding an event to kick off their campaign tomorrow to call on the University and President Soltz to make BU a national leader in clean energy. Students at Bloomsburg University are working to eliminate dirty coal use at BU’s power plant, advocating for 100% clean energy as part of a nationwide campaign, led by the Sierra Club.

WHAT: Students will be gathering to kick off the Beyond Coal campaign at Bloomsburg University, and to call on the administration to become a driving force in switching BU off of dirty coal to 100% renewable energy.

WHO: BU students, BU Beyond Coal student leaders, and guest speaker Professor Agbango.
