Tiger Woods Wins the Masters

Tiger Woods has finally ended his 11 year drought of not winning a major. Woods won the 2019 Masters going 13 under par, beating out Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele, and Brooks Koepka by one shot over the four rounds. This is Woods’s 5th time winning the Masters, and his 15th time winning a major in his 23 year career.
His last major win was the U.S Open back in 2008. Woods’s career has been filled with controversy and injuries. He has had injuries to his acl, achilles tendon, knee, back, neck, and shoulder, undergoing eight surgeries.
In addition to all of the injuries Woods has suffered, he has been involved in drama dating all the way back to 2009 when he was involved in one of the biggest sex scandals in sports. Woods was also arrested in Florida for a DUI in May of 2017.

After all of these events, no one ever thought that Tiger would make it to the top again. He has proved all of his doubters wrong coming back and winning his 5th green jacket at the 2019 Masters.
