The Huskies controlled the action from the opening tip scoring just 10 seconds into the game on a jumper by Ruben Britt (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional). Bloomsburg quickly pushed its lead to 16 points at 19-3 with the help of back-to-back baskets from both Britt and Ed Hall (Spencerville, MD/Paint Branch). Later leading 27-7 on a dunk by Webster, the Lions trimmed the deficit 11 points at 33-22 with 10 seconds to go in the half. Webster, though, closed out the half by tipping in a miss at the buzzer giving the Huskies a 13-point halftime cushion.
