Song Pick of the Week
I chose the song Footloose. I know it’s old and all, but I love this song. It always puts me in a good mood and makes me want to get up and dance. My family and I always dance to it. You can’t help but let the music take you and get, well, footloose. I like a lot of oldies songs, they have a good rhythm and beat. It’s the kind of music where you dance with your feet, not with your butt up against someone else.
Sometimes at family gatherings, when we’re all together – meaning me, my four siblings, my mom, and my grandparents, for holidays or birthday parties, we get in a dancing mood. The music we play is all old stuff like Elvis, Michael Jackson, the Bee Gees, and other music, like Footloose. It’s so much fun when we’re all gettin’ down, even Grammy brings her moves. This is the kind of music that makes you free.
