Should We Love or Hate Drake’s “Hotline Bling” Video?

Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Drake released his music video for his hit single “Hotline Bling” early last week, and nobody’s quite sure what to make of it.

Contrary to Drake’s past videos such as “Started From the Bottom,” where there’s nonstop cutting between him in his car and in many other places, “Hotline Bling” takes place mainly in one color-changing boxed room.

Drake can be seen dancing by himself for most of the video, and also vibing to the beat on a random set of white stairs. He ends it with a small cha-cha sequence with a random girl and then proceeds to lay down on her butt and nap.

Upon the release of the video, social media exploded with memes/vines such as ones like this-

In addition, GIFs of Drake dancing were captioned to showcase relatable and funny reasons as to why he was dancing.

As you can see, the video caused quite an uproar with fans and music lovers alike. It will be interesting to see what music videos the Canadian rapper comes up with next as he recently co-released What a Time to be Alive with fellow rapper Future.
