The Send Request x Hungry Huskies Benefit concert held Nov. 17 and hosted by Send Request and Dr. Ganahl’s Publicity and Public Relations, helped draw awareness to student hunger as well as raised donations and support for those in need.
A table of snacks, pizza, and drinks were provided for attendees as well as a table for donations. Fans filled McCormick 1303 to dance, listen to music, and have a blast. The concert lasted for a little over an hour and featured Send Request originals, covers, and even a Beatles throwback!
As the event came to a close, a total of 142 canned food items and $126 worth of monetary gifts were donated to Hungry Huskies. The group was beyond ecstatic about the outcome of the event; there may even be another benefit concert in the future.
