Ryder Cup 2014 Preview
The highly anticipated Ryder Cup is back after its two year absence. A biennial golf tournament consisting of two teams made up of the best golfers from the United States and Europe is what the Ryder Cup is all about. This year’s tournament is taking place at the Gleneagles Hotel course in Perthshire, Scotland, which just celebrated its 90year anniversary in June. The tournament itself will start Friday Sep. 26 and span until Sunday Sep. 28. There will be lots of great golfers playing on a historic course.
Both teams in the Ryder Cup will include the top golfers from around the world. Team USA will boast names like Rickie Fowler, Jim Furyk, Phil Mickelson, Jordan Speith, and Bubba Watson just to name a few. Team Europe consists of golfers like Rory McIlroy, Martin Kaymer, Sergio Garcia, and Lee Westwood. Each team has some serious talent to help them capture the trophy.
No matter which team wins, this is sure to be a great golf tournament. Each squad is bursting with star golfers and they all have one goal: win the Ryder Cup.
