Bloomsburg, PA, November 15, 2014: The Bloomsburg University Men’s Basketball Team along with the Bloomsburg PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) chapter will be hosting the third annual “Balling with Buddies.” The event will be on Saturday Nov. 15 at Nelson Field House on the upper campus of Bloomsburg University. The buddies will begin to arrive prior to the game (6:15pm) with the game beginning at 7pm.
Best Buddies is a worldwide organization that helps promote one-on-one relationships with people who have IDD’s (intellectual and developmental disabilities). The buddies from the organization will be treated like VIP’s for the night to watch the Huskies take on Adelphi University. The buddies will receive VIP passes in the form of photos with Roongo and team photos to get signed. They will get the chance to meet some of the players and request autographs. Refreshments will be served for the buddies before the game thanks to the generous donations from Dunkin Donuts, Giant, and Weis. The buddies will then be seated in their VIP section before the start of the game.
Since this is PRSSA’s third time hosting such a great event, we want it to be bigger and better than last years. We are hoping to bring in more buddies this year to help create a greater experience for each buddy as well as the members PRSSA.
