PRSSA Presents, “Best Buddies Day at the Ball Field”
The students of PRSSA are teaming up with the BU Baseball Team!
The Bloomsburg University Baseball Team, along with the Bloomsburg PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) chapter will be hosting the third annual “Best Buddies Day at the Ball Field.” The event will be Sunday, April 13 at Danny Litwhiler Field on the upper campus of Bloomsburg University. The ceremony for this event will take place prior (12:00 p.m.) and continue up to the start of the game at 1:00 p.m.
Best Buddies is a worldwide organization that helps promote one on one relationships with people who have IDD’s (intellectual and developmental disabilities). The Bloomsburg Best Buddies chapter has partnered with Bloomsburg PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) and the Huskies baseball team to put on the event. The buddies from the organization will be treated like VIP’s for a day out at the ball field to watch the Huskies take on University of the Sciences. The buddies will participate in opening game ceremonies and receive VIP passes, refreshments (donated by Giant), and their own section of seating at the game. The Bloomsburg University ROTC will be presenting colors before the game. Buddies will also be receiving team photos to get signed during the meet and greet portion of the event.
This is PRSSA’s third time hosting such a great event, so we want it to be even better than the previous two years. This year we expect to have more buddies participate, which will result in a greater experience for each buddy as well as PRSSA.
