Pippa Middleton, known for her relation to Kate Middleton and her fashion statements, was recently thrown into a public controversy.
On Sunday April 15, Pippa was in Paris when the man driving her car, Romain Rabillard, pulled out a gun and started waving it at photographers.
They had been previously celebrating the 30th birthday of Vicomte Arthur de Soultrait, fashion entrepreneur, and a man in the backseat of the car.
De Soultrait claimed the gun was just a toy that belonged to his younger brother.
“Pippa is a very good friend of mine and this gun affair is very silly,” De Soultrait told the Daily Mail.
Ballistics experts think that the gun resembles a Sig Sauer P226 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
Rabillard immediately went into hiding once the pictures went public a day after the incident.
If the gun is real, Rabillard could face seven years in prison. If the gun is fake, he could still get two years.
Some media sources are saying that Pippa could face prosecution for simply being in the car.
This scandal upset the royal family, “Calling him a wild man would be about right!” says a close friend of Rabillard.
