Parents Continuing Education Program – Support from BU Needed
Hi, my name is Catherin. I am a senior here at Bloomsburg, and I am developing a program for parents who are continuing their education here at BU. The program is designed for all types of parents – single, married, etc. We will run workshops on various topics ranging from how to build a resume to how to budget finances. Also, we will provide resources that are available to students on- and off-campus.
In the future we hope to establish housing for parents attending BU. The Parents Continuing Education program offering a central location and support for our student parents.
We are also reactivating the Single Parent Association. The Association is not for just single parents, but any student interested in supporting our parents here at BU are welcome. There will be an interest meeting October 21 at 3:30 in the Women’s Resource Center located in Schuykill Hall.
