Cosby Accused of Sexual Assault
Bill Cosby, the 77 year old American actor, comedian, and producer who changed TV when he first started out in the 1960s, has been accused of sexual assault.
Many women are coming out and saying that Cosby raped or sexually assaulted them. I’ve recently heard of two girls who are allegedly accusing Cosby; Janice Dickenson and Therese Serignese.
According to Yahoo!, Dickenson, former supermodel, has claimed that back in 1982, Cosby lured her to Lake Tahoe, where he was performing, with the promise of advancing her career. He then “plied her with wine and a pill and sexually assaulted her.”
Another Yahoo! article said that Serignese, a nurse in Boca Raton, has claimed that in 1976 when she was 19 years old, she went backstage after a Las Vegas show, and Cosby gave her two pills and a glass of water and told her to take them. The next thing she remembers is being naked and Cosby was behind her, having sex with her.
These women are only two of the listed 13 on slate.com. Some of these women include Lachele Covington, Andrea Constand, and Tamara Green.
Cosby has denied all of these claims. He has never been convicted of anything before. Cosby seemed hurt about these accusations when an NPR reporter gave him a chance to deny it, according to CNN.
If this happened so long ago, in 1982 or 1976, why would these women just be coming out now? They must need money or something. In my eyes, Bill Cosby is a great guy and I just can’t see him drugging all these women and sexually assaulting them, but I guess people aren’t how they appear on TV.
