A Special Punishment for a 10-Year-Old Pretending to be 18
A father gets creative with his daughter’s punishment.
It’s typical for teenagers to be excited to grow up and even for them to want to dress themselves in clothes that are too mature for their age. That is a manageable situation for parents to deal with.
But when a 10-year-old is dressing like an older teenager, lying about her age saying she’s 14-18-years- old, holding multiple social media accounts under her name, and dating… ALL behind her parents’ backs that’s another story.
Those poor parents.
The girl’s father, Kevin Jones from Kentucky, came up with a special punishment for his daughter’s actions.
Instead of grounding her for the rest of her life (as my parents would have done, maybe worse), he decided to embarrass her by making her wear an ‘age defining shirt’ that reads on the front in puffy paint letters, ‘I am 10 years old.’ He even went as far as to make her wear pink barrettes in her hair, a princess Sofia backpack, and bright pink shoes.
He then proceeded to share the pictures of her in this ensemble on his Facebook to ensure that she would be too embarrassed to try to create any social media accounts behind his back ever again.
Under the pictures, Jones wrote, “Since my beautiful daughter… wants to be grown and lie about her age. Saying she is 14,15,16, and 18 years old. She claims to be in love and going out with a boyfriend which is completely against my rules!!!!”
“I uncovered that she has been doing this for quite some time. She also has snuck and obtained social media accounts, also against my rules!!!! Here’s the consequences behind her actions. An age defining shirt. Yes people she is 5’9 and 10 years old.”
