5 Tips To Survive Black Friday Shopping

5 ways to survive this Black Friday Shopping festivities

It’s the most anticipated day of the year during the month of November, and I am not talking about turkey day. I am talking about one of the most sacred days for shopaholics everywhere, Black Friday.

Black Friday is the one shopping day of the year when you wake up super early in the morning to get the best deals for all of your Christmas shopping needs. Though it may be fun and give you somewhat of a rush to get the last pair of super cute jeans on sale that you have had your eye on for forever, the long lines and crowded stores can take a toll on you. Here are five tips on how you can survive this year’s Black Friday shopping festivities:

1. Get Plenty of Rest

Waking up at four o’clock in the morning can be really rough, especially if you’re only running on about three hours of sleep. It is always best to go to bed pretty early, and I always sleep in the clothes I plan on wearing out so I can just roll out of bed hop in the car and go. By doing this you get a little extra time to sleep and don’t have to spend 30 minutes getting ready.

2. Drink Lots and LOTS of Coffee

Caffeine is an absolute must! It fuels you for the day and keeps you from slowly dying of sleep deprivation as the day progresses. Plus it not only keeps you awake and possibly bouncing off the walls, it keeps you warm when out in the freezing temperatures. Also, don’t worry if you’re not a big coffee drinker, an extra-large soda will work just as well minus the keeping you warm part.

3. Dress Warm and Comfortable

By the end of November, it can be absolutely freezing outside and when you are in a humungous line that wraps around the entire store with a bunch of bloodthirsty soccer moms you are not only going to want to dress warm but also comfortable. I recommend layers upon layers of long sleeve shirts and sweat shirt so as the day progresses and it gets warmer you can take off individual articles of clothing. Comfort is a must, I know that you probably want to look cute and wear some skinny jeans and Uggs but let’s be real here, you are going to want to be wearing some sneakers when you race to get the last size eight door buster shoes in the entire store.

4. Look Online For Stores with the Best Deals

It is always a good idea to know which store is having the best sales because they usually only last for a short amount of time. You want to be able to make it to all the stores that fulfill your shopping needs, so it is smart to form plan of attack. Make a plan with whomever you are shopping with in order to get maximum shopping time in. You don’t want to find yourself buying a new tablet for your dad at one store only to find out that you could have gotten it for $20 cheaper at another.

5. Shop Till You Drop

The final and last tip to survive and get the most out of your Black Friday shopping is to just have fun and shop till you drop. This is a day when you can get together with friends or have some quality retail therapy bonding time with your mom. Remember these suggestions and you are sure to have an awesome day. Just be prepared for Saturday when you look at your bank account and cry.
