Josh Shapiro’s Planned Stop in Bloomsburg
The Pennsylvania Attorney General and the Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Josh Shapiro’s bus tour will be in front of Carver Hall on November 3rd from 12:15 to 1:45 pm. Along with Shapiro, Lieutenant governor candidate Austin Davis will also be there. The event is designed to be a meet-and-greet with the candidate.
This is the first time Attorney General Shapiro has been in Bloomsburg since July. When he held a similar meet-and-greet at Brewskis Coffee Bar. During that event, Shapiro primarily focused on crime, speaking about hiring more police officers as his primary objective in reducing crime and protecting abortion rights. Shapiro pledged to veto any bill that restricts a woman’s right to choose. During that visit, Shapiro was supported by Senator Bob Casey Jr.
Currently, according to the latest poll averages, Shapiro is ahead of his opponent Republican Doug Mastriano by 9%. Shapiro has widened his lead in the last few months. Pennsylvania Republicans hoped for a win in the state. They are hoping to swing the state back to the Republican party, after Tom Wolf’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
