FOBULA Invites Donations for Book, Movie, Music, and Video Game Drive

Don’t know what to do with all the novels, short stories, text books, DVDs, and CDs piling up? Can’t use those archaic video tapes and cassettes anymore? From now until Friday, March 20 the Friends of Bloomsburg University Library Association (FOBULA) is holding a book drive. Drop off your merchandise at the Andruss Library circulation desk or at the CA desks in the dormitories. For a pick-up of large donations, call Robert Dunkelberger at (570) 389-4210 or email him at rdunkelb@bloomu.edu.

These materials will then be sold at FOBULA’s ninth annual book sale from Saturday, March 21 through Monday, March 23 at the library in the Schweiker Room. While Bloomsburg students have the convenience of the sale right on their own campus, eager buyers in the past have traveled from an hour away to choose from a wide selection of good reads and other merchandise for low prices ranging from $0.25 to $2.

FOBULA requests donations of a variety of books, including fiction and non-fiction that are in good condition and would appeal to the general audience, in addition to movies and music. The organization discourages donations of textbooks that predate the year 2000, magazines, journals, and Reader’s Digest condensed books.

The drive and sale are a part of FOBULA’s goal to provide valuable resources for study, research, teaching, and community services at Bloomsburg University as an integral part of the State System of Higher Education in Pennsylvania.
