BU Ski & Board Club Hosts Canada Trip

Superb conditions, freezing temperatures, and snow in every direction you look.  That is what the Bloomsburg University Ski & Board Club of 2013 experienced this winter break at Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. Over the span of a week’s time, members of the 14-year-old club became a family. Skiing the beautiful mountain of Tremblant and cutting through untouched glades were part of the amazing experience that every member had.

Every year the club is run by a select few individuals without the assistance of any faculty. This year the club was directed and run by student president, Scott Blackburn, a senior at Bloomsburg University.

The club planned an experience filled trip that lasted five days. Students and guests had the opportunity to go and explore the marvelous mountains that Canada has to offer. Along with the 95 beautiful trails down the 2, 871 foot tall mountain, Mont-Tremblant has much

more to offer. Guests are legally allowed to go out to the bar and have a drink at the age of 18. The bar isn’t the only place tourists can go

to have fun. Tourists can also go to the club and dance or rave. If that wasn’t enough fun for a college student, they have a free pass to go tubing and ice skating, or even go bet at the casinos.

The BU Ski & Board club is a lasting tradition here at Bloomsburg University and is growing each year. If you or a friend are interested in becoming a part of next year’s trip, or to get additional information feel free to visit the club’s official club page: http://www.bloomu.edu/club-ski-snowboarding
