‘NSYNC vs. Backstreet Boys
The 1990’s were a big time for boy bands. Some of the most popular boy bands include O-Town, New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees, Hanson, and the two biggest ones, of course, ‘NSYNC and Backstreet Boys.
Backstreet Boys first started in 1993. They have five members: AJ Maclean, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell. Maclean, Carter, and Dorough first started in high school. Richardson and Littrell are cousins who joined after they moved to Florida. Their first song was “We’ve Got it Goin’ On” (1995). They have made about 9 albums and, they are still together and performing.
‘NSYNC first started in 1995 in Orlando, FL. They also have five members: Justin Timberlake, Joshua Chasez (J.C.), Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass. “I Want You Back” was their first released song. They released four albums all together, and they stopped making songs in 2002. Yahoo Answers says they never broke up even though they stopped producing songs, and they may make a comeback within the next two years.
So which group does the Bloomsburg student body like better? Below are a few students’ opinions:

“Backstreet Boys because I like their voice better.”
“Backstreet Boys because I grew up listening to them.”
“ ‘NSYNC because I grew up listening to them with my sister.”
“ ‘NSYNC because Justin Timberlake is the man.”
“ ‘NSYNC because Justin Timberlake and Brittney Spears were my favorite couple back then.”
I guess it varies which group people like better, but one general consensus is that people sure do love Justin Timberlake. I love both bands but I think I like ‘NSYNC a little better because of their songs and Justin Timberlake, of course!
