UFO Sighting in California Causes Panic and Social Media Frenzy

This past Saturday night, the residents of California got quite a show as well as the social media posts to prove it.

What started off as a regular night turned into panic when a bright light in the sky was shining and flying over Southern California. It was not a star, a plane or any other normal aircraft people have seen before.

As it was happening, people were posting videos and pictures of this so-called UFO to Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.

Here is a quick video from CNN recapping Saturday night’s incident as well as someone’s eyewitness video.

Not only could this be seen from California, but residents of Nevada and Arizona also spotted the unknown light traveling through the sky.

A few hours later it was reported that the UFO was actually a missile that was being used for testing. It was not armed. The “alien visit theory” was quickly debunked from the mainstream media.

Regular citizens and celebrities alike took to social media and were shaken up by the possibility of this alien visit. Indie pop singer, Halsey, was hoping the supposed “aliens” would take Donald Trump with them:

R & B singer, Chris Brown, didn’t believe the “military missile theory” for one minute:

Even actor David Duchovny of the Sci-Fi hit television show, The X Files (which heavily revolves around aliens), had some fun with this story:
