Texas Shooting Update

Could you imagine losing your whole family, just like that, and at such a young age as 15-years old?

The only survivor of the shooting at the at the house in Houston, Texas, Cassidy Stay, spoke at her family’s memorial this weekend. According to Time, Stay says that her family is “in a much better place” and that she’ll “be able to see them again one day.”

The shooter, Ronald Lee Haskell, was a once the husband of Stay’s aunt. Stay pretended to be dead after she got injured from a bullet, so she was able to identify the shooter to the police. She also warned the police that Haskell might be heading her grandparents’ house next.

Also according to Time, Haskell has been charged with capital murder.
