Missing 12-year-old girl: Communicates with Men Online
Baltimore County police along with the FBI have been searching for Jasmine Leighlin Baker, a sixth-grade student that went missing Tuesday, Nov. 11. Baker was last seen after leaving her home for Perry Hall Middle School at 7:30 a.m.
Baker’s mother contacted the school when she hadn’t returned home and was informed that her daughter never arrived. The 12-year-old is described as 5-foot-5, 175 pounds, blue eyes, brown hair that has blonde and red streaks in it. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a brown coat.
According to Baltimore County detectives Baker has a history of communicating on social media with men, including some from other states, through email, texting and other apps. However, it cannot be confirmed if she has communicated with these men in the past few weeks.
The police have received over 50 tips from citizens and have followed up on all of them. K-9s have been used around her home and surveillance cameras from local businesses have been checked but still no Jasmine. A suspicious blue pickup was spotted near her home but no evidence she has been abducted.
Jasmine does not have a record of going missing before nor did she leave her home with extra clothing to confirm a run away situation. If you have any tips or information, please contact the police at 410-307-2020 or the FBI at 410-265-8080.
