The new games room will open today, Friday Oct. 5 at 4p.m. on the first floor of the Kehr Union Building (KUB).

The games room is equipped with nine 65 inch TV screens, six pool tables, an Xbox One, Xbox 360, and a PS4 that has access to Playstation Live.

The games room is currently holding a homecoming raffle for a chance to win a $75 gift certificate to the school store. All you have to enter is head down to the game room some time this weekend and fill out one of their pink slips. The winner will be drawn Sunday at noon, but you do not have to be present to win. If you are the winner, the game room will e-mail you and let you know that you can come pick up your prize.

They will be having an official grand opening celebration in the future, but a date has yet to be determined.

“The grand opening is gonna be sponsored by pepsi so we’ll have drinks to give away,” explained Valarie Moyer, manager of operations for the games room and welcome desk in the KUB.

The games room, which was most recently housed in the ground floor of Luzerne Residence Hall, now resides where the University Store was located before the store was moved into Soltz Hall.

Their regular hours are 11a.m until midnight from Monday through Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays their hours are from noon until midnight.

The room is available to for group and organization events. To book the games room for your next event, contact Valarie Moyer at (570)-389-5109
