Nancy Pelosi’s Home Broken Into, Husband Assaulted with Hammer

Nancy Pelosi and her Husband Paul Pelosi

Paul Pelosi underwent brain surgery to repair a skull fracture. “Early this morning, an assailant broke into the Pelosi residence in San Francisco and violently assaulted Mr. Pelosi,” Drew Hammill, a spokesman for the Speaker’s office, stated in a press release early this morning. Paul Pelosi, 82, was the only one attacked during the break-in. Doctors expect Pelosi to make a full recovery from his injuries. Speaker Nancy Pelosi was not home at the time of the assault. The suspect has been taken into custody. The suspect’s motivation for the attempted break-in was to attack the Speaker of the House, asking Paul Pelosi where is Nancy.

This is not the first time the Pelosis experienced criminal actions at their home in San Francisco. Early in January 2021 before the Capital Riots, their home was vandalized, with a dead pig’s head being left on the sidewalk and graffiti on their garage door.

The Pelosis are not the only family who has been under threat. Earlier this year, a man repeatedly showed up at Pramila Jayapal’s (Democratic House member from Washington) home. Throwing threats of violence for weeks before being arrested. The individual was armed with a gun with a round in the chamber at the time of his arrest.

This raises concerns for politicians and their families if someone can break into the Speaker of the United States home. The individual, third in line to the Presidency of the United States. What does it mean for the safety of other politicians who are lower on the pecking order of importance?
