The Nai-Ni Chen dance company is a mixture of American modern and contemporary dance styles, while also integrating Chinese classical arts. Choreographer and Artistic Director, Nai-Ni Chen, is considered to be a “spiritual choreographer,” according to Dance Magazine. Originally from China, Chen moved to America to express her own style of contemporary dance in 1982, after graduating from the Chinese Cultural University. Chen started the world-renowned dance company in 1988, and has continued to make a name for herself ever since.
