British Rock Icon Morrissey Reveals he has Cancer

There’s a light that never goes out, and its name is Morrissey. The ex-Smiths frontman recently announced in an interview with Spanish newspaper El Mundo that he has been battling cancer.
“They have scraped cancerous tissues four times already, but whatever,” Morrissey told El Mundo.
According to the BBC, Morrissey was allegedly hospitalized several times in the past year, cancelling several stops on his tour.
“If I die, then I die. And if I don’t, then I don’t. Right now I feel good,” Morrissey added.
This has not been the first health scare Morrissey has faced. In 2013, Morrissey was diagnosed with a bleeding ulcer, double pneumonia, food poisoning. He also battled a respiratory infection in 2014.
Doctors allegedly “cautioned” him to stop touring, but “it’s difficult for [Morrissey] because it’s very ingrained within [him].” Morrissey even remarked during the interview that he knew he looked sick, but “that’s what illness can do…I’ll rest when I’m dead.”
The 55-year old solo artist is still going despite his health issues. Morrissey is writing a novel after the success of his memoir, still protesting animal rights and ending the British monarchy, releasing a new solo album called “World Peace is None of Your Business”, and still confidently performing even after the announcement of his health issues.
