The Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 1; hit the advanced ticket sales box-office hard. How hard you may ask? 2014 record breaking status. According to Fandango, a ticket purchasing website, Mockingjay accounted for 80 percent of its sales the first day they became available. The same thing happened for Movietickets.com! The presale even doubled last years, Catching Fire.
The third installment of the series will be the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s final onscreen appearance after his tragic death earlier this year. He passed away from a drug overdose before part two had wrapped. Many believed that he would be digitally entered into the film through hologram work; however, this film is 100 percent real Hoffman. The film hits theaters Nov. 21 and clearly people are excited.
