Masters 2016: What to Watch For

The world of sports has many spotlights. Starting Thursday and ending on Sunday, the spotlight will be put on Augusta National Golf Club for the annual Masters tournament. The world’s best golfers will battle it out for 18 holes and maybe more for the famous Green Jacket that is awarded to the winner.

Last year, Jordan Spieth took home the Green Jacket. Spieth, along with other top golfers like Bubba Watson, Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson, and Jason Day, will all be pursuing their own Green Jacket. Whether they are driving, chipping, or putting, the field of golfers vying for the tournament win is filled with great talent.

According to CBSSports.com, Bubba Watson is the favorite to win it all. Watson has won two Masters in the last four years. Other top competitors include Day, Adam Scott, Spieth, and Rickie Fowler. A total of 89 golfers will compete in the tournament but only one will walk away victorious.

Per the official site of the Masters, the tournament has been around since 1934 and this year is sure to be a good one. Big names in the world of golf will compete to their best abilities on the historic course to wear the Green Jacket. Tune in to ESPN and CBS for all the coverage.
