March Madness is Here Again

People look forward to the month of March for many different reasons. The weather starts to warm up, college students have a week off for Spring Break, and even if you aren’t Irish, everyone celebrates Saint Patrick’s Day. However, for sports fans across America this month means one thing: March Madness.
March Madness refers to the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Championship. 64 college basketball teams compete each Spring in a single-elimination tournament to determine a championship team. This year marks the tournaments 75th anniversary and the first round of game will begin on March 19.
The tournament bracket is set up based on teams rank. For example teams ranked number in their region play the team ranked number 16, number two plays number 15 and so on. Despite the rankings, fans can always count on a couple upsets throughout the tournament. According to ESPN.com, Gonzaga, Duke, Indiana and Louisville are the teams predicted to do the best. The championship game will be played April 8 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
