Lights! Camera! Victory!… Still Working Towards The Goal!

Lights, Camera, Victory! is a campaign that was developed by Dr. Ganahl’s senior level public relations class at Bloomsburg University. Together, the class, Camp Victory, and Love in Bloom all partnered together to raise money to donate to Camp Victory to help their campers have a summer that they won’t forget.

Camp Victory, located in Millville, Pennsylvania is a special camp, for special kids. Children come to this camp to get away from the daily stresses in their lives. The campers that come to Camp Victory live with a daily battle of chronic health problems, physical or mental disabilities, or the aftermath of a tragic illness. These children’s lives are controlled and restricted by the daily medications and frequently complex medical treatments that they need. Camp Victory is a place for these children to come and forget about the health problems, disabilities, and illness that they face, and just be a kid.

We are currently in the middle of our fundraiser to help support this awesome camp! Over the past week at the Dance Ensemble that was held in Haas, the class sold carnations and held a Wendy’s Night, where 10 percent of purchases between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. were donated to Camp Victory. The class successfully made over $400.00 towards their $1,500.00 goal.

The Public Relations class is hoping and working hard to keep their success going until the big night of the premier of Love in Bloom, One Last Time that will be held April 28, at 7 p.m.

This event will be held at the Digiplex Cinema Center in Bloomsburg on Route 11. Be sure to stop by the Mass Communications Department on the first floor of McCormick Hall or find one of the PR Cases & Problems students to get your ticket to this great event! Tickets are only $5.00 and will provide you with the opportunity to see the last showing of Love in Bloom! Don’t miss out!

If you can’t make the premiere but still wish to donate to Camp Victory, check out the Indigogo site, search “Lights! Camera! Victory! to learn how. The class thanks everyone for their support! Lights! Camera! Victory!
