Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s Mobile App Game in the Works

Kendall and Kylie Jenner took to their Instagram accounts on March 17 to announce to their combined 40.7 million followers that they are working on their own mobile app game.
Glu Mobile will be developing the up-and-coming game. The developers said in a statement that, “Kendall and Kylie Jenner bring a tremendous amount of brand power and social impact to an audience largely untapped by the gaming industry. We are pleased to partner with them over the 5-year contract term.”
The game will feature Kylie’s and Kendall’s “…voices, likenesses, and creative influences…the game will allow players to interact with the sisters as friends and mentors as they work to realize their creative and career aspirations,” Glu Mobile revealed in the statement.
Glu’s CEO, Niccolo de Masi, also mentioned that they “…expect that their creative input along with Glu’s expertise in the celebrity-based gaming genre will produce an experience that resonates with Kendall’s and Kylie’s more than 72 million social followers around the world.”
Glu Mobile are the same developers that created half-sister, Kim Kardashian’s, mobile app game, which was released late June of last year. Kim’s mobile app game called “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” has done remarkably well; it has been reported that it is making an estimated $200 million.
The Kardashian name “…has driven people to download the game,” game analyst, Douglas Creutz, previously said about Kim’s game.
Although Kendall and Kylie’s last names do not end in Kardashian, their large amount of social media followers can lead anyone to suspect that their game will create just as much buzz and revenue as Kim’s mobile app game has been making.
Glu Mobile expects to launch the game worldwide in late 2015 on iOS and Android. Niccolo de Masi also notes that, “by the end of 2015, with the addition of Kendall and Kylie, Glu’s celebrity gaming platform will be supported by more than 300 million total social media followers.”
Kendall’s and Kylie’s digital personas have already appeared in Kim’s mobile app game.
