Grammy Award winner John Mayer, has recently announced he will be going on tour in support of his new album, “Born and Raised.”  The 34-year-old singer, who like Adele, has been in recovery from throat surgery is long overdue for a comeback.

Tickets have gone on sale for the upcoming tour and the first show is scheduled to kick off in April.  This will be Mayer’s first tour in two years.  The first single off the album “Shadow Days” was released on the radio a few weeks ago.  I myself am a huge Mayer fan and can already tell that this is going to be a great album, just after listening to the first single.

Mayer, who is known for his hits such as, “Body Is A Wonderland” and “Waiting On The World To Change,” has some high expectations for this to be a great album. He was diagnosed in September 2011 with granuloma, a serious throat condition. As a result, he underwent surgery one month later to remove the enlarged nodule located just above his vocal chord.  Ever since he has been in recovery and hard at work on “Born and Raised.”

Mayer is one of my favorite artists, and I personally cannot wait for his return to music.  His last album “Battle Studies,” which came out in November 2009, debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200s chart, selling 286,000 copies in its first week.  So I have no doubt in my mind, that he will out do himself again.  Most people can apply his music to any situation they may be in.  Whether it’s a breakup, a loving relationship or just like in general.  He is such a versatile artist, he can appeal to any audience.  Mayer’s return is highly anticipated by all.
