Joseph R. Biden has won the race to become the 46th President of the United States. After what was perhaps the longest election in U.S. history, Biden wins 284 electoral votes according to The Associated Press.
Kamala Harris also makes history as the first woman ever elected as Vice President.
This result comes in as cases of COVID-19 rise across the country and many are still marching against police brutality. We are living in uncertain times in America and for many, Joe Biden represents a more hopeful near future.
