
The Mets agreed to a five-year extension with Jacob deGrom Tuesday morning worth $137.5 million deal. 5th year is a club option for 32.5 million. The 30 year-old pitcher is currently the reigning Nation League Cy Young Award winner. In 2018 after going 10-9 with a 1.70 ERA and having 269 strikeouts. He has a full no-trade clause. The pitcher has low mileage on his arm pitching only 900 innings. This is a huge relief going into Opening Day taking care of their ace.
