Once the news surfaced, J. Cole immediately followed with a tweet announcing a free, surprise show in New York at New York’s Gramercy Theatre. Doors opened at 6 p.m., and the event was first come first serve. Fans everywhere went into a complete frenzy and those who waited by the theatre, electrified with anticipation.

Phones , cameras & bags were prohibited.
The flyer also stated “No press lists. No guest lists.” That didn’t stop fans from sneaking them in.
On April 17 he repeated the same pattern in London. He tweeted out to London to meet him at “secret location” and doors open at 7 p.m.

This will be a short promotional run for J. Cole. These shows are reminiscent of Cole’s “Dollar & a Dream” tour; limited attendance, abrupt announcement of location, and being surround by the Dreamville family.
